Nuts and bolts of what we do

If you have questions about what this actually looks like, that’s a good thing. Let’s break it down

I want to know the real you

Not in some hypothetical, problem-focused way - I want to see the whole picture.

My typical process looks like this:

  • 90-120 minute initial evaluations, focused on:

    • Current situation (the good, the bad, the hinging-on ugly)

    • Evaluation tools to clarify symptoms

    • Past medications or therapy

    • Extensive medical and family history (only what you’re comfortable sharing)

    • Complete diagnostics of the most common conditions

    • Setting goals that are meaningful to you

    • Establishing a plan of care to

  • 30-minute follow-up appointments, timed to your needs:

    • Shorter but still meaningful check-ins meant to keep us on track

    • Adjustments to medication or approach

    • Intention matters more than speed here

We’ll dig deep.

What This is and what it is not

What to expect when we sit down together:

  • Collaboration

  • Thoughtful conversation

  • Intentional discussion

  • Laughter, maybe some tears

What it won’t be

  • A rushed, sterile evaluation

  • A prescription without direction

  • One-size-fits-all lecture

If you are looking for a quick, narrow-focused, transactional appointment done in 15 minutes, this is a bad fit.

I’m didn’t come to mess around

Philosophy on meds

Medications are tools - I aim to balance minimizing medication burden while maximizing your quality of life.

Medication is helpful when:

  • Thought of as a potential option, not a default

  • Used intentionally, balancing treatment-guidelines with real usefulness to you

  • Prescribed correctly and not as a Band-aid over deeper issues beyond medication

  • Adjusted empirically one-at-a-time based on patterns of symptoms.

  • Balanced with context to you and your life

Let’s make this something worth fighting for

Other Nuts + Bolts

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I accept payment from a wide-range of insurance companies.

Please check with your insurance company prior to scheduling services, as some insurance providers have limited networks. Once we obtain your insurance, we will file the claim (in-network only) and bill you for the remainder.

I am in-network from the following insurance companies:

  • Ambetter

  • Aetna (check network)

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (check network-not BluePrint)

  • Cigna

  • Medica

  • Meritan Health

  • Midland’s Choice

  • Tricare (check network-not Tricare For Life)

  • United Health Care (check network)

  • United Medical Resources

I do NOT accept

  • Medicare

  • Medicaid

How much does this cost?

Cost varies appointment to appointment, and is dependent on the work we do.

  • Copays and balances are due at time of service

  • I take cash, credit card, HSA and FSA for payment

  • Payment plans are available

What if I am paying cash?

I provide cash-patient clients a discounted rate on appointment.

  • Initial assessment: $350

  • Follow-up appointment

    • Up to 30 minutes: $125

    • 31-60 minutes: $200

  • Cash payments are due at time of service

Are you in?

Are you ready to:

  • Have an honest conversation about what is going on?

  • Find some answers to the questions that you’ve asked (or are scared to)?

  • Sick of wasting time not knowing what is truly going on?
